Description

In this introductory course, students will explore the various market segments within events such as the social leisure, sporting, corporate, and educational event markets. Students will study how events are interconnected to other industries including banking, not for profit, academia, construction and medical organizations that manage internal event departments. Students will examine the economic impact of special events and the important role events play with in the hospitality and tourism industry. This course will also provide students an opportunity to discover industry trends and address industry concerns in sustainability, ethics and compliance.
