| Description | In this course, you will be provided with an overview of both the introduction to food service management, and the research-based strategies for study skills and learning methods needed to succeed in college. You will learn an overview of the total health care facility and the interrelationship of nutrition services to other departments. Students will be familiarized with the different career pathways, roles and responsibilities of a food service manager in a healthcare facility. Students will differentiate between the various role of regulatory agencies associate in healthcare. Confidentiality, professional conduct and importance of professional associations will be discussed. As for success strategies, you will apply various study skills and learning concepts by engaging in online self-assessment, readings, writing and thinking exercises. The course will also provide you with the resources to become more independent, responsible, and confident. |
