| Description | In this introductory course, students will become familiar with the principles of management and the Canadian perspectives on international business, and opportunities and challenges in the international business environment for Canadian businesses. Students examine different political, economic, legal and cultural systems and foreign exchange markets, the history of and current state of the international political economy and world trading system, and regional economic integration. The course has an emphasis on Canada’s trade agreements and their important roles on the Canadian economy. Students analyze international trade theories, market entry and exit strategies and various forms of government intervention. They examine functional areas of business including finance, logistics, marketing, and human resources to explore business strategy from an international business perspective. |
