| Description | Learning the Maya interface by diving straight into the animation process, students explore a series of increasingly challenging core exercises, beginning with a bouncing ball and ending with a walk cycle. Students learn the essential software tools as well as the principles of animation, and integrate these skills to create naturalistic, expressive motion.
Students also develop their visualisation skills for rendering the figure from memory through a series of life drawing classes. Interpreting action and expression in the human form, students employ historical and contemporary drawing techniques to examine proportion, anatomy, and movement.
* Minimum C grade required (60 per cent).
