| Description | This course will introduce students to terminology and basic concepts relating to music technology. Topics covered include the physics of sound, musical instruments, music media (LPs, cassette tapes, CDs, etc.), computer essentials for musicians, and equipment associated with live and studio sound. The course will prepare students for second year courses relating to music creation and technology, especially Introduction to Audio Engineering. |
