This course provides an introduction to new media concepts, products and technologies. It begins by exploring digital interactive new media: what it is, why it is important and where it is headed. The roles and underlying process of new media production are examined, including planning, prototyping, production, testing and distribution, focusing on four major markets: home, education, business and professional multimedia. (10 labs, 30 hours)
