| Description | This introductory course will prepare the student for the role of rehabilitation assistant through the examination of both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. Working in today’s health care system demands the examination of personal values along with those of the diverse client groups that seek the services of the system. Students will be challenged to examine their ethical beliefs and how they apply to helping others. Examination of the scope of practice of the OTA/PTA will be enhanced by the introduction of self-assessment through reflection that will carry on throughout the program. |
