Description:

In this course, students will be introduced to fundamental aspects of the restaurant industry. Students will learn about the various roles in food and beverage and how these roles are related to sectors within the hospitality and tourism industry. The importance of understanding guest profiles and how they impact food tourism and travel will be emphasized. This course will provide opportunities to connect with current industry leaders and to discuss current issues and trends that impact food and beverage and restaurants. Students will also be asked to explore career opportunities in food and beverage in order to identify personal career goals.
