In this course students will be introduced to the major agencies of the adult Canadian criminal justice system and their roles in the interpretation, enforcement and operation of that system. Students will examine and discuss the impact of significant cases on Canadian justice while exploring current sentencing options and their effectiveness in reducing recidivism, preventing crime and maintaining justice in society.
