| Description | The IoT Capstone Project is an integrative experience that brings together all components of the Internet of thing (IoT) curriculum in applied, hands-on real-world setting. Student will have an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the IOT curriculum by integrating and applying the algorithms, methods, and tools to solve real-world problems that have an interdisciplinary nature. This course also covers the basics of project management techniques and tools to improve project success. Students will conduct a team-based project sponsored by a company or by an academic research group that involves the main aspects of the IoT system design process and will submit a consolidated report and give a presentation at the conclusion of the project. Project work involves the development of design alternatives, development of an appropriate IoT architecture, and design and tests the implemented system. The IoT design focuses on addressing overall design goals while understanding constraints of cost, etc. Student will also learn to apply the soft skills associated with leadership, communication, and team building. In essence, the course serves as a final preparation for students entering the IoT profession. |
