| Description | The course starts with a brief overview of ethical reasoning that provides an opportunity for students to assess the necessity and justification for ethics in international business. In this course, students will focus on the importance of business ethics and the necessity of ethical thinking in the global business environment. Students will learn to critique ethical issues and dilemmas facing corporations, in the global economy and throughout the international operations and trade. This course focuses on both internal and external organizational concerns and students will learn to evaluate the potential ethical problems within different business functions and the risks associated with them. Students will also assess common ethical issues concerning different stakeholder groups in international business including topics such as employee rights, cultural differences, religious realities, workplace diversity, socio-political context, accountability, environmental management, ethical sourcing, consumer rights, and the global sustainability standards. |
