| Description | This course is designed for RNs with a sound background in IV therapy. It is an intensive theory course that will allow the nurse in a specialty area (e.g., ICU, CCU, emergency, medical/surgical, palliative care) to expand knowledge and skills in specialty IV therapy. Topics include various delivery systems, TPN, chemotherapy, shock and shock management, blood and blood component therapy and central lines. The content related to IV insertion has been included in this course with practice in the laboratory. Recommended: Successful completion of CEHS-907 |
