Description

This course builds on students’ object-oriented programming foundation and focuses on developing modular, component-based and data-driven applications using Java. Students apply advanced object-oriented programming concepts to design, build and test more complex applications with graphical user interfaces, database connectivity and responsive execution. Topics include advanced Java features, component-based application design, JavaFX GUI development, JDBC database integration, concurrency, exception handling, collections, and code organization. Students also explore the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation and code quality.

Assignments may use applied contexts related to software engineering, game programming, artificial intelligence, digital health engineering, or general software systems while maintaining common technical requirements and grading criteria.
