| Description | This is a mathematics course covering selected topics in basic algebra. Topics include arithmetic, algebra, linear equations, percents, ratios and proportions and geometry. The course integrates appropriate technologies into the learning of mathematics, while recognizing the continued importance of mastering essential numeric and algebraic skills. Through the notion of concept reinforcement students will be able to perform operations on various types of numbers and algebraic expressions using the appropriate order. They will also be introduced to both the imperial and metric systems of measurement, dimensional analysis and graphical and algebraic approach to solving systems of linear equations. |
