Description

This course is intended to provide the student with information regarding basic ecological principles, environmental problems and their causes and what can be done to sustain our planet. The interrelationships of living things with their environment and each other will be a focus of the course, and, where possible, Canadian environmental concerns will be addressed. Students will participate in class discussions, small group work and field studies. Students maybe expected to travel to field study sites, which are accessible by public transit. This course is designed as a general education course for students in any post secondary program at the college, except Environmental Protection Technician/Technologist.
