| Description | Macroeconomics studies economic performance of the economy at the aggregate level. Students will be introduced to the circular flow model of income and define key measures of macroeconomic performance such as national income, aggregate demand and supply, savings, investment, unemployment, inflation, exchange rates, and balance of payments. They will learn about the role of the federal government and the Bank of Canada in the economy, to compare the effectiveness of monetary and fiscal policies in economic stabilization, in both a Canadian and global context. |
