| Description | This introductory course is designed to acquaint the beginning student with the scope and nature of Massage Therapy. It is developed to assist the student to acquire a conceptual framework for practice based on a critical thinking model. Theory is practiced in concurrent laboratory settings. Basic assessment skills and basic Swedish massage manipulations are introduced and the critical thinking model is used to assist the student to decide when to employ each type of manipulation. |
