| Description | This course continues the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for practice. The student will apply massage techniques previously learned to situations where adaptations are necessary due to time, positioning or client presentation. Theory of normal growth and development will be introduced and specific massage adaptations will be examined as applied to selected life cycle stages. Lymphatic drainage and friction technique as additional modalities of treatment will be introduced. Treatments for selected conditions will be explored. The concurrent laboratory classes complement the theory component. |
