| Description | This course is the summative course in Massage Theory and Practice. The learner will continue to integrate components learned previously with new content and modalities of care. Critical thinking skills will continue to develop while deducing the best possible massage therapy for clients with selected disorders of the nervous system. Contraindications for and adaptations of massage therapy will be explored for the pathologies identified. A number of additional therapy adjuncts will be explored. Concurrent laboratory experience is utilized to assist the student achieve competence in related psychomotor skills. As well, learners will take part in a comprehensive review in preparation for final comprehensive exams and entry-to-practice examinations. |
