Description

Building upon the content of MATM 101 (Materials and Methods 1) and MATM 122 (Materials and Methods 2), this is the third and last of three courses addressing building materials and methods of construction. Focus will be on commercial and institutional construction and would also cover high-rise and complex structures. The course will explore building envelop design and detailing, the production of construction documents, architectural design process, the coordination among different engineering design disciplines, the current construction industry practices and the main contractual agreements that governs the construction industry and contribute to project delivery.
