| Description | This course is a hands-on intensive study of Matte Painting techniques used in background and establishing shots. Students are encouraged to take traditional painting tools and concepts and apply them in the digital world. Photo-realism in painting is discussed with examples from both art and film. Approaches to painting architecture, nature and interiors will be explored, as well as the integration of painted matte elements with live action video footage. |
