| Description | For as long as there have been people there have been meetings. Meetings and conventions are a major source of income for the tourism industry. This is an interesting, exciting and complex business that demands well-trained people that have a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Today's convention attendees are educated consumers that have high expectations regarding services provided. This course will examine the history and development of the meetings and convention industry. It will give the students the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to participate in the planning of conventions and meetings of any size and scope. |
