Description

This course will familiarize students with the basic construction, operating principles, testing, diagnosing and servicing of clutches, manual transmission/transaxle assemblies, automatic transmission/transaxle assemblies, driveline components and final drive assemblies. Students will apply precision and non-precision measuring skills and hydraulic principles that were introduced earlier in the program. This course is intended to assist students’ access technical information from various sources to enhance their abilities to correctly diagnose driveline related problems. Students will apply this information with specialized service tools and equipment to effectively repair driveline components including manual and automatic transmissions/transaxles.
