| Description | This course introduces students to the professional practices and workplace culture of museums and cultural organizations. Students will expand their understanding of the museum as a workplace through self-reflective activities, lectures, critiques by practitioners in the field, readings, role-plays, fieldwork and writing activities. Over the course of the semester, students will also be coached through lining up their individual site placement for the winter semester.
This course includes a weekly tutorial on professional communications facilitated by the Centre for Academic English. This tutorial provides students with access to resources, coaching, and support that will help them fine-tune written assignments and advance their individual writing skills. |
