| Description | This course will cover the history and practice of writing about music for the popular press. After discussing the historic developments, key companies, practices, writing style, and career options associated with music journalism, students will engage in a variety of writing projects including album reviews, concert reviews, press releases, feature articles, and short biographies. These projects will culminate in the publication of a music periodical. This course will nurture creative writing that can be applied to a variety of music-related careers.
