| Description | In-person learners will explore the industry by networking with industry professionals through information sessions. This will allow them to make informal and formal business contacts and to learn the industry’s technical aspects from leading experts. Online learners, meanwhile, will benefit from guest lectures on digital platforms and opportunities to interact with professionals via email. Students will explore ethics and moral courage, and how they affect industry professionals. Coverage of industry associations — such as International Live Events Association (ILEA), Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA), Canadian Society of Professional Event Planners (CanSPEP), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO), and Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC) — will round out the course. |
