| Description | One of the keys to success and signs of professionalism in the travel and tourism industry is the ability to converse knowledgeably with other professionals about all the truly exciting destinations and attractions that Ontario has to offer its visitors. In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in receptive tourism to Ontario. American visitors have always been important to Ontario but the fast growth of offshore travelers has put great demand on our industry to meet the demands of all these guests. This course will examine the historical development of the province and how geographic features impact tourism. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge of all that Ontario and Toronto has to offer its guests, everything from world-class accommodation to wilderness hiking.
