| Description | This intermediate course builds on approaches and techniques introduced in previous semesters. Emphasis will be placed on the application of colour theory and the development of plastic, volumetric form. Students will continue to use the alla prima approach using a broader, chromatically heightened palette and will be introduced to a variety of painting techniques.
A variety of delivery techniques including instructor lectures and demonstrations, one-on-one instruction, critiques and discussions, and the opportunity to develop their figure painting skills independently in the open studio, will be used. |
