| Description | In this course, students will examine professionalism, accountability and ethical issues. An emphasis will be focused on understanding the current legislation impacting the role of the Personal Support Worker within health care. The social determinants of health will be discussed and how, the values beliefs and attitudes of the Personal Support Worker can impact care. Skills required to enhance own marketability will be discussed and applied through research job opportunities, resume, cover letters and interviews. The use of of online research in the job search process will be applied. Evidenced based practice will be discussed. |
