| Description | This course examines the basic concepts of disease processes which affect physiologic and psychosocial health. Concepts include stress and coping, anxiety, inflammation, infection, fever, immobility, pain, wound healing, and fluid and electrolyte imbalances. This course also examines alterations in the functioning of the musculoskeletal, immunological, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, renal and endocrine systems. In addition, neoplasm’s will be discussed.
