| Description | Examine and demonstrate practice theory and skills including communication and interviewing skills such as attentive listening, paraphrasing, perception-checking, questioning and minimal prompts. Explore the activities involved in accomplishing both outcome goals and process goals within the context of individual, group, and community case studies, and the relationship of skills to models of social service work intervention. Opportunities for self-reflection and self- analysis and for constructive feedback will be presented throughout the course.
