Description | In this course, apply theoretical knowledge, skills and attitudes to the practice setting in an activity department of a long-term care institution. In the activity assistant role, participate in needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities to meet psychosocial, physical and spiritual needs of aging adults. Also practise communication skills and implement the process of self evaluation. Prerequisites: GN-100, GN-103, GN-110, GN-111, GN-112, GN-113, GN-114 and medical forms one month prior to GN-115 start date. Medical forms may be picked up in room 2017, Warden Woods Campus during office hours. |
