Description

Knowing how to job search and meaningfully present your professional goals, skills and abilities to others are critical elements to securing a job after graduation. In this course, you will have the opportunity to rehearse these skills through researching and obtaining your first field placement. You will practice résumé writing, job/placement searching and interview strategies. You will also learn where and how supports and services for people with intellectual disabilities are organized in a community and how this organization creates job opportunities for developmental services workers. Course Length: 15 hours, 1 hour per week for 15 weeks
