Lecture hours per week
Lab hours per week
Course AvailabilityOpen
Description

Continuing to incorporate emergent curriculum principles, students will learn to use a project approach to support the wonder and inquiry of children in all areas of experiencing. A variety of philosophies of practice will be discussed with significant focus placed on the principles reflected in the Reggio Emilia schools. A collaborative approach to curriculum design will be integrated in areas of planning by involving the children, teachers, family and community. We will strive to empower children towards developing independent, self-directed and collaborative partnerships in the design of experience. Observation and documentation will be integral in determining and recording the process of experiencing for the child and centre in all elements of practice.
