Most college services will be closing at 4 pm on Friday, October 11, and will reopen on Tuesday morning, October 15. There will be no Enrolment Services offered on campus over the weekend but online services are available. Part-time Learning classes will take place as scheduled on the weekend. This course focuses on the fundamental concepts of management and leadership. The four managerial functions are examined and analyzed in hospitality industry settings. Management ethics, social responsibility and diversity are discussed. Total quality management, different leadership styles, motivation factors and approaches to conflict resolutions are explained. This course offers management and future leaders comprehensive approaches that are important in operational management and the development of employees in the hospitality industry.
