| Description | Students will take one-on-one private lessons for half an hour per week on her or his primary instrument or voice in order to develop the playing/singing ability of each student to a professional level. Lessons will consist of five components: notation reading, technique, improvisation, arranging, and repertoire. Greater emphasis may be placed on one or more of the components depending on the ability of the student at the discretion of the teacher. Each student will learn 8-10 selections per semester; a selection can consist of a song, song section, or exercise. |
