Description | This course investigates traditional manufacturing processes as well as newly developed non-traditional techniques. Students will learn how typical industrial piece parts and assemblies are manufactured. Topics focus on processes and related theory for the traditional manufacturing processes of metal forming, casting and molding, electrical discharge machining (EDM) as well as more recently developed processes such as rapid prototyping. |
