Description | This course includes a synopsis of the first five courses of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning’s CFP™ program: Personal Financial Planning, Wealth Accumulation, Controlling the Future, Strategic Investment Planning and Risk Management and Estate Planning. The course attempts to ensure that you have understood and integrated the many concepts studied in these courses. It also addresses professional liability, and the code of ethics of the Financial Planners Standards Council. Upon completion of the course, you will be prepared for a final review of the courses before you write the Professional Proficiency Examination to obtain you CFP™ designation. Topics include professional responsibility, taxation review, retirement planning review, investment planning review, risk management review, family relationships and estate planning and case studies. Prerequisite: CEFN-901, 902, 903, 904, 905 or permission from the program supervisor. (Includes exam. Course-mandated financial calculator and course material excluded.
