| Description | The professional development of Child & Youth Work includes the ability to articulate objectively and professionally in writing. Report writing is a challenging and important part of a Child & Youth worker’s clinical experience. This course will give the Child & Youth Worker student essential information and guidance for writing a variety of clinical reports or documentation required in this field from a strength-based perspective. It will help the Child & Youth Worker student gain confidence in their ability to write in a professional manner. Professional recording tasks include: preparing & writing clinical reports, formal recording and legal documentation; understanding what to put in reports; learning how to organize clinical information and how to choose the correct terms to use; understanding the importance of record keeping; and further development in the skill of observation and inference. |
