Description | In a fast-paced, changing environment, the effective corporate communications practitioner must be able to manage a number of different projects at one time. This course covers the concepts and basic functions of project management, the role of the project manager and the project management resources in developing and implementing a project. Learners will develop a comprehensive project plan including the identification of measurable tasks, project scope, scheduling and budgeting. In addition, learners will develop an understanding of the fundamental role of working with outside agencies/contractors as well as internal clients. The focus will be on managing for print and other communication projects. The method of instruction includes lecture, case studies, guest speakers and group work within the classroom. * Minimum C grade required |
