| Description | Students will apply concepts in nine project management knowledge areas - project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, procurement risk management - across the project management lifecycle of initiation, planning, executing, controlling and closing. The instructor will emphasize the use of computer-based project management tools and techniques suitable for IT project management, a vital part of the student's skills and knowledge portfolio. Students will have the opportunity of working together with various configurations of members in a project team. Because many IT projects have been poorly managed, delivered behind schedule, and/or over budget, students will learn the importance of essential strategies in the interdisciplinary field of project management. |
