Project Monitoring and Evaluation

Course Code INTD-726
Lecture hours per week 3
Lab hours per week
Course Availability: Open

This course provides students with necessary knowledge and skills to participate in development projects with regard to project monitoring, evaluation and reporting. It starts by linking the outputs of Project Management 1, Project Design & Proposal Writing, to the requirements of this course by reviewing the Logical Models & Performance Measurement Frameworks created for the projects designed by the students in the prerequisite course as the foundations for establishing M&E systems. Practical cases and applied strategies will be used to illustrate the critical components of these aspects of project management. The students are required to complete a number of assignments that reflect the application of the knowledge and skills acquired during the course. On the one hand, the instructor will provide continuous feedback on students’ coursework. On the other hand, the students are encouraged to interact and give feedback to each other on their work. The group will act like a monitoring and evaluation team that work together on several monitoring and evaluation tasks; each led by a different monitor/evaluator (student).
