| Description | A critical social theoretical perspective underlies the exploration of mental health, mental illness, addictions and mental health promotion for individuals, families and populations. Current and emerging societal issues and their influence on the understanding of and care for persons with mental health and addiction challenges are examined. Nursing interventions, the scope of practice, interprofessional collaboration, and the broad legislative and ethical contexts shaping the provision of mental health services are integrated throughout. |
