Course Code PFPR-206
Lecture hours per week
Lab hours per week
Course Availability: Open
Description: This course allows students an in-depth insight into all relevant Chapters of the Revised Statutes of Ontario regarding police involvement. These Chapters include but not limited to: Blind Persons Rights Act, Coroners Act, Dog Owners Liability Act, Family Law Act, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, Freedom of Information Act, Line Fences Act, Liquor Licence Act, Mental Health Act, Ticket Speculation Act, Tobacco Control Act and Trespass to Property Act. Although numerous and varied in texts, these Chapters play important roles in the day-to-day activities of police officers. Due to a myriad of non-police agencies throughout these Chapters, a strong emphasis for students to focus on TEAM relationships is incorporated in every lecture.
