Students will develop both analytical and practical professional skills for publishing for screen, including e-books, writing and editing for tablet magazines; magazine websites, rich media, publishing with content management systems (CMS); tools and practical application of current trends, tools and best practices for publishing for screen via direct instruction, collaborative group work and introductory level web content management. Students will learn creative, analytical and applied technical skills for publishing for screen using simple web content management systems and current social and participatory media services and tools (blogs, social networks, photo galleries, video). In addition to creating and managing content, students will gain a basic facility with terminology, methodologies and practices in electronic publishing.
