| Description | Building on fundamentals learned in ROBO-237, the learner will acquire new programming skills and apply them to industrial robot applications in the laboratory. Topics include robot electrical safety circuits, and programming ABB and Fanuc robots, including internalI/O interfacing. The learner will also acquire knowledge of both the ABB and Fanuc robots' colour-sorting program, including vision sensing, automation sensors, work cell support systems, and robot and system integration using relays. Students will learn ABB robotic MIG welding programming and setup. DC motor theory, wiring and control techniques are also covered in this course. |
