Description | This course is designed to enable RPNs to perform aseptic procedures with skill and competency. Topics include basic microbiology, principles of medical and surgical asepsis, basic immunology, isolation, BSP and universal precautions, wounds and the healing process, sterile dressing techniques and urinary catheterization. You will have the opportunity to practise skills in the laboratory setting.
