Description

This course examines the roots of Western drama, from ancient Greek and Roman comedies and tragedies through to Shakespeare and his contemporaries.  Example playwrights that may be included in this course: Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Aeschylus, Plautus, Shakespeare, Marlowe, Jonson or Molière.
