| Description | In this course, students will examine the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and design of industrial systems, components and software required to design and program PLCs, and understand the concepts of Industry 4.0. Students will have the opportunity to practice the operation of a production line, as well as troubleshoot, program, and test industrial automation structures in the lab. Topics include modular production systems (MPS), Siemens S7 hardware and software (TIA Portal), and Allen Bradley CompactLogix hardware and software (RSLinx and Studio 5000). |
