| Description | This is the capstone course for the Software Engineering Technician program and the first software development project course for the Software Engineering Technology programs. Students work in teams to design, implement, test and document an application or software component for a hypothetical organization. The course simulates professional software engineering processes and emphasizes teamwork, project planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, version control and the use of collaborative development tools. Students also explore the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to support task planning, coding, debugging, testing, documentation and project productivity while maintaining software quality, academic integrity and professional accountability. |
